Venison Chilli Nachos
Nachos make the perfect party snack to share amongst friends or a treat for yourself. We’ve put a Scottish twist on traditional nachos with the addition of our Findowie Farmhouse venison chilli.
Venison is an excellent source of lean protein making it a healthier alternative to regular beef chilli. This vibrant dish includes fresh guacamole, zingy salsa, fresh coriander, lime a good dollop of sour cream and grated cheese.

Ingredients
- 1 pack Findowie Farmhouse venison chilli
- 1/2 packet plain tortilla chips
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tbsp fresh coriander
- Lime wedges to garnish
Guacamole:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp fresh coriander chopped
- 1/4 fresh chilli finely diced
- 1/2 red onion diced
Salsa:
- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander
- 1/2 red onion diced
- 1/2 green chilli
- 1/2 or whole fresh lime
- 1tbsp olive oil
Method
- Begin by preparing the chilli, if microwave cooking this can wait till last. For best results, we recommend oven cooking: pre-heat oven to 180C, then cook for 25mins.
- While the chilli cooks prepare the guacamole and salsa.
- For the guacamole, cut the avocado in half, remove the stone then scoop out the flesh into a bowl. Mash roughly, leaving it slightly chunky. Mix through the remaining ingredients till thoroughly combined. Set aside.
- For the salsa, finely chop the tomatoes and coriander and put in a bowl. Add in the diced onion and fresh chilli.
- Squeeze in the fresh lime juice (add more if necessary) and olive oil and add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Pour tortilla chips into a bowl. Once the chilli is ready, load it onto the tortilla chips.
- Dollop the guacamole, salsa and sour cream on top. Then add the grated cheese.
- Garnish with lime wedges, finely sliced chilli and coriander.
